Power tests can be a drag, I admit, so many people in studio all at once... but when you get a great group with a great team like Maee Kroft and Jesse Young the energy makes up for the long day with little time to really think about what you're doing. Mind you between Maee giving make-up lessons, Jesse giving hair lessons and a few fresh cuts, and me jabbering non-stop about posing and mood, last Sunday's group got their money's worth, and we had a great time! 13 hour day, but the people were so easy to work with, it went by in a snap.

FAT is over for another year, and I guess we're all dissecting it now... My take: The new venue at 99 Sudbury was wayyyyy better than last year, but not quite as good as the Distillery yet. The backstage was superior to the Distillery and Pardee Ave- Everyone had tons of space to work. But again, the separation of the runway from the art spaces and the performances was unfortunate. I don't feel the artists or musicians get the exposure they had at the Distillery. It was definitely better for the artists this year than last, but not the musicians.
The shows: wonderful. I feel all the shows were better than last year overall.
And I got to witness the inaugural runway shows for 2 of my friends: Paidi Chideya (Demoyo), and Rashel Wani(Wani bi Saki).
And the watching the double takes from almost every other shooter when Rashel revealed her double-threat status of model and designer? priceless
